| Sending code causes muffled sidetone and dimming of internal light. Occurs on all bands but not over entire band. Occurs when match is 1:1 (measured on built-in swr meter and also MFJ 259B analyzer). If I change SWR to 1.5:1 or higher with ATU (Johnson Matchbox feeding ladder line to 160M full wave horizontal loop), the sidetone problem stops. Also, the ALC light for side band doesn't work across all the bands. On some frequencies it peaks properly but not on others. Am I doing something wrong or is there a problem with the radio? |
