| I wonder what power level you are attempting to transmit at? I had an "only slight buzzing" problem at high power. At other power levels it would seem to work O.K. On receive, no apparent problem, all "normal".I read through the KW tech bulletins about the 261. Nothing. I looked at other KW radios' TB's. I found a reference to a similar sounding problem. The recommendation was that the radio was not getting enough current to transmit at high power. I tried the suggested remedy. "Flow some solder on the crimped KW 12v power cable connections. The crimps sometimes corrode or get loose over time." Seems fine now. |
