| Actually I’m not a Ham yet but this year I will be testing for my license. I have been an AM’r for years now and deiced to move into Ham. Can anyone recommend a base station that will have all the bands and I “shouldn’t” have to upgrade out of for a couple of years. I know this is a wide open question and everyone has favorites as well as the term “all bands” will probably be the wrong terminology. I’m looking for a radio that covers as much as possible; my budget will be $1,500. For the base and I’d like to not have to replace as I get higher levels of licensing if possible. Used as well as new radio model suggestions are greatly appreciated. Right now I’m just beginning my education into brands and pricing. Thanks in advance. |
